Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC “KM&A” has filed a complaint against Stonemor Partners, L.P. (Stonemor) in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
The complaint alleges that Plaintiff was terminated in violation of Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). Plaintiff was terminated because she was 50 years old. The Plaintiff was told on numerous occasions that Stonemor was moving in a “newer, younger direction,” which is why Plaintiff had to be terminated.
Plaintiff is not the only victim of age discrimination. A previous employee of Stonemor filed a lawsuit against Stonemor in the United Stated District Court, Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division alleging age discrimination. That case is docketed at Case: 5:13-CV-01555. The matter was confidentially settled for an undisclosed amount. Another former Stonemor employee will also be filing suit in the Western District in the upcoming months.
